Helping the homeless

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: “I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and e came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

This passage express the perfection of God’s heart for the naked. Each time, that could be possible; we’ve been in harmony with it. There’s about tens homeless in Pointe à Pitre Streets or other Guadeloupe commune. Our goal is to be able to go to meet them with other Christian from the island; who join us in this adventure, in order that soon, we could go regularly and meet them.

Samuel’s testimony:

“The idea came from Blake, a student who was in team with me in Guadeloupe in 2005. While a team time, he proposed this and we done it the next night, we went in the streets in Pointe-à-Pitre. I always remember this man who couldn’t believe me when I said him that we were Christians. He said: « it’s impossible! Since I’m here in the streets, I never saw or heard Christians going out late at night (around midnight), to talk or share something to eat with us» For me, it became obvious that we should go and meet them at night, and that’s what we’ve done.”
